Simala, a resident of Bhopal, comes from a very educated and reputed family. His father Bhagirath Prasad has been a former IAS and MP. His father Dr. Bhagirath Prasad is a 1975 batch IAS officer, who was elected Vice Chancellor of two universities and a Lok Sabha member from Bhind in Madhya Pradesh from 2014 to 2019. Mother Mehrunnisa Parvez is a well -known litterateur who has been honored with Padma Shri. After initial education, Simala passed MP PSC and started his administrative service as DSP, but his intentions were more. She prepared for UPSC and became an IPS in the first attempt without coaching. He passed UPSC CSE 2010 and achieved Air 51.
