Parliament’s monsoon session from 21 July to 12 August
The monsoon session of Parliament will start from July 21. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju gave this information in New Delhi on Wednesday. Rijiju said that the session will run from 21 July to 12 August.
Kiren Rijiju said- Under the government rules, they are ready to discuss any subject in the session. Also informed that a motion of impeachment against Justice Verma may be introduced during the session.
The government has announced the monsoon session amid the opposition’s demand for ‘Special Sessions’. Opposition is demanding a discussion on the statement of US President Donald Trump and CDS Anil Chauhan in Singapore when the Indian jet collapsed on the mediation between Opposition Sindoor and India-Pakistan.
17 parties of the India alliance held a meeting in New Delhi on 3 June. It wrote a letter to PM Modi to call a special session. This will be the first session of Parliament after the Modi government 3.0 and Operation Sindoor.
Rijiju said- Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor ready to discuss
Rijiju said- The government says that if the opposition demands a discussion under the rules during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, then we are ready to discuss the Pahalgam terrorist attacks and Operation Sindoor. During the upcoming session, the government is also preparing to bring impeachment motion against Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma.
On the impeachment motion against Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma, Kiren Rijiju said, “Monology against Justice Verma is a case related to corruption in the judiciary. There is no scope for any kind of politics in this.
He had said that I am creating a consensus among all political parties. For this, I have started discussing with prominent leaders. Actually, Justice Verma’s house in Lutyens Delhi was on fire on the night of 14 March. Sacks filled with bundles of 500-500 rupees were found from the store room of his house.
