Railways will start e-Aadhaar Authority for IRCTC account, you will get Tatkal tickets
Indian Railways will soon start using e-Aadhaar Authentication for IRCTC account. This will help actual users to get confirmed tickets at the time of need. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information on Wednesday. Sources said that the railway is planning to strengthen the Tatkal ticket process by making some rules more strict, such as only Aadhaar verified accounts will be allowed to book Tatkal tickets online, Aadhaar based OTP authentication will also be required for booking. Sources said that counter -based Tatkal tickets to control the disturbances can also be booked after Aadhaar verification.
Suspected accounts will be closed
According to the news, currently there are more than 13 crore active customers on the IRCTC website, out of which only 1.2 crore are base-satisfied. IRCTC has decided to do special verification for all the accounts that are not certified by Aadhaar. The accounts found suspicious will be closed. The Railways aims to ensure that real passengers get all types of Tatkal tickets. Account holders connecting their accounts to Aadhaar will get priority booking during the first 10 minutes of sale of Tatkal tickets. Even authorized IRCTC agents are not allowed to book tickets within the first 10 minutes of opening the window immediately. Therefore, it has become necessary to verify your IRCTC account through Aadhaar.
