New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a vermilion plant at his residence on World Environment Day on Thursday. This plant was gifted to them by a group of women who showed remarkable courage during the 1971 war. This initiative is also being linked to the recent operation vermilion.

PM Modi wrote on X- This plant will remain a strong symbol of the valor and inspiration of the women of the country. He said that during the recent visit to Kutch, a group of women who showed remarkable courage during the 1971 war met and presented these plants. In a post on X, Modi urged people to further protect the planet and increase their efforts to overcome environmental challenges. He said, “I also appreciate all those who are working at the ground level to make our environment green and better.”
