Patna. The Janata Dal United (JDU) has started finalizing its preparations before the important NDA meeting to be held in the coming week. In this connection, an important meeting of the Core Committee of the party is proposed, in which the party leadership will decide with which stance JDU will participate in the NDA meeting. Earlier, a core committee meeting of JDU has been held in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in which initial strategies were discussed.
A clear strategy will be made regarding seat sharing
According to reliable sources, a final seal will be made in the Core Committee meeting on how many seats JDU will claim under the NDA alliance. According to the initial assessment, this number can range between 100 and 110. The JDU state leadership has already identified such seats, where the traditional support base of the party is strong, where currently JDU MLAs or the last time the party won there. The decision of the core committee will be presented in the NDA meeting, where there will be a brainstorm about seats between all allies.
High level meeting will be held in the presence of Chief Minister
Apart from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, JDU chief leader and Union Minister Lalan Singh, National President Sanjay Jha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Rural Affairs Minister Ashok Chaudhary, and State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha will participate in this important meeting. In the presence of these leaders, it will be decided what kind of claim the party will submit and which issues will be given priority.
Guideline received from NDA district conferences
JDU has prepared a list of potential seats and candidates based on the recently concluded district level conferences. The party has adopted a new strategy this time, under which no formal application will be taken from the candidates to contest elections. Instead, the leaders who have shown activeness at the ground level and whose social influence is strong in the field, has been included in the list of them.
Local equations will be decisive factor
According to sources, local social equations will be specially taken into consideration in JDU’s list of possible candidates. The faces working on ethnic balance, regional representation and development issues will be preferred. This strategy of JDU is designed with the aim of empowering its performance in the upcoming elections.
