Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (SP) leader Supriya Sule said on Thursday that she could not sign the opposition’s letter demanding a special session of Parliament over the Pahalgam attack, as she was involved in the all party delegation on a foreign trip abroad. Addressing the press conference after returning from a four -country visit, Lok Sabha member Sule said that her party’s attitude is that there is no need to debate it as ‘Operation Sindoor’ is still going on. He said, “When the monsoon session of Parliament starts, we will ask the government questions on Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.”

What did Supriya Sule say on a foreign tour?

The government had sent all -party delegations in many countries to give information about India’s response as Operation Sindoor to destroy terrorism in Pakistan and POK after the Pahalgam attack on 22 April. Sule said, “I could not sign a letter demanding a special session of Parliament, as I was on a trip to represent the country. I have shown faith and faith in my country. The tour was beneficial and the leadership of all four countries- Qatar, South Africa, Egypt and Ethiopia expressed strong solidarity with India and condemned all the acts of terrorism. ”

He said that the four countries have close relations with India and they consider India as ‘the land of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Narendra Modi’.

Sule said that she had told the Congress leaders that she would attend the meetings of the opposition ‘India’ alliance after returning to India. The NCP opposition group led by Sharad Pawar is a component of the INDI Alliance. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 16 opposition parties have demanded that a special session of Parliament be called. The government said on Wednesday that the monsoon session of Parliament will be held from 21 July to 12 August. (With language inputs)
