The Karnataka police on Thursday registered an FIR against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), DNA event management company and the Karnataka Cricket Association in a stampede case. They have been accused of criminal negligence during the Victory Parade.

The FIR states that the incident of stampede occurred due to chaos and negligence of responsible agencies. On the other hand, there was a hearing in the High Court in this case. Acting Chief Justice V Kameshwar Rao and Justice CM Joshi Bench have asked the state government to submit a state report on the accident. Now the next hearing will be on 10 June.

At the same time, the petitioner’s counsel told the court, ‘The state government should tell who has decided to honor the players of RCB. What was the compulsion to honor the players who do not play for the country. ‘

In fact, on 4 May, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) organized the Victory Parade in Bengaluru for winning the IPL title for the first time. First the state government honored all the players in the assembly premises. This was followed by the program at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Earlier, 11 people died due to stampede in the crowd outside the stadium. 33 injured. All were under the age of 35, 3 are teenagers.

The government said- there were 5 thousand security personnel, but there was a lot of crowd. Therefore, the Victory Parade could not be done. According to sources, most of these policemen were on duty for 36 hours.
