Apple can get the contract to repair iPhone and Macbook. The Tata Group will manage Apple’s iPhone and laptop service and repair in India. Demand for Apple devices in India is increasing rapidly. The Tata Group’s contract for service and repair is an important part of the American company’s supply chain. According to the report, Tata Group will work for Service and Repair along with apple’s iPhone manufacturing iPhone.

India becomes a choice of China

According to the report revealed, Apple is increasing the manufacturing of its product in view of the ongoing trade war between the US and China. For the past few years, India has emerged as China’s alternative to Apple. The Tata Group has emerged as a big supplier in manufacturing Apple’s product in India. The company has set up three Apple manufacturing units in South India, from where iPhones and iPads made from India are being exported outside. Not only this, components of some iPhone are also being made in India.

Tata Group waiting for the green signal

The Indian unit of Tata Group Taiwanese company Wistron will also work to repair as well as sales in the iPhone assembly campus in Karnataka after getting the green signal from the ICT service management. The report said that its repair market is also going to boom in India rapidly due to increasing sales of Apple’s product.

According to the report, India is the second largest market for smartphones. According to Counterpoint Research, last year, 11 million i.e. 1.1 million iPhones have been sold in India. Due to this, Apple’s market share in India has increased to 7%. The company’s market share was just 1% in 2020. Apart from iPhones, demand for other Apple products is also increasing in India. Especially the sale of Macbook and AirPods has also increased in India.
