New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday in New Delhi. During this time, the Chief Minister gave detailed information about the successes of the anti -Maoist campaigns in the state and the development works going on in Bastar zone. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Singh were present on the occasion.

Success in anti -Naxal campaign

The Chief Minister said that with the new strategy of the state government and the cooperation of the Center, the Naxal abolition campaign has been taken to a decisive turn. Positive results of intensive campaigns conducted in the last year and a half have been achieved. 1,428 Maoists have surrendered, which is a significant increase compared to the last five years. Chief Minister Sai informed that 427 Maoists were killed in 205 encounters, including the top leaders of the organization, general secretary Baswa Raju and the notorious Maoists like Central Committee member Sudhakar. In addition, 64 new forward security camps have been set up in the state, which has strengthened the security network.

Home Minister appreciated the progress report

CM said that basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, health services and schools are now being provided fast to the villages near these security camps. In 146 villages identified under the ‘Need Nellanar Yojana’, 18 types of community services and 25 types of government schemes are being implemented in the 146 villages, which has increased the trust of the local people in the system. On this occasion, Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated the progress report presented by Chief Minister Sai and said that due to the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government, decisive control over Maoist activities is being possible and the central government will continue to provide all possible help to the state.
