Increased amount for not responding to first e-mail
When the accused first sent a threatening e-mail to businessman Mukesh Ambani, he demanded Rs 20 crore. After not responding to the first e-mail, a second threatening e-mail demanded Rs 200 crore. The second e-mail mentions that you have not yet responded to our e-mail, adding that the amount will be increased to 200 crores and if we do not receive the ransom, the e-mail also says that your death warrant has been prepared.
We have sharp shooters in the country
Businessman Mukesh Ambani received a mail on his e-mail account on October 27, in which the threatee demanded Rs 20 crore from Mukesh Ambani and threatened to lose his life if he did not pay. The earlier threatening email read, “If you don’t pay us 20 crores, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in the country.”
The police still have no clue
After receiving that e-mail, the Gamdevi police have registered a case against an unknown person under sections 387 and 506 (2) of the IPC on the complaint of Mukesh Ambani’s security chief. However, the police are yet to find the unknown assailant.
