ED files chargesheet against Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal
Mumbai/New Delhi, 31 October (HIST). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a charge sheet against Jet Airways company founder Naresh Goyal and five others in the Canara Bank fraud case.
The ED has filed a chargesheet in a court here against Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal and five others in the alleged Rs 538 crore Canara Bank fraud, sources said on Tuesday. This charge sheet is likely to be taken cognizance on Wednesday.
ED had arrested Naresh Goyal on September 1 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Goyal is currently in judicial custody in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. This matter has come to light from the FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Jet Airways, Naresh Goyal, his wife Anita Goyal and some former officials of the company in a case of alleged fraud.
