Gorakhpur Disturbance in night sleep is affecting health

Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Deep sleep at night is necessary for good health. Disturbance in night sleep also affects the internal functioning of the body along with the daily routine. Research regarding this has started in AIIMS.
Research on this has started in the Biochemistry Department of AIIMS Gorakhpur. Under the direction of Dr. Surekha Kishore, Executive Director of AIIMS, Dr. Amarpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, has started research on those who stay awake at night and do duty. This research has received approval from ICMR.
Dr. Amarpreet told that 110 employees have been selected for this research. This selection has been done in two groups. The 55 employees selected in the first group work in the morning shift. Whereas 55 employees doing night duty have been included in the second group. Most of them are guards.
He told that the employees working in day shift sleep deeply at night. He comes to duty in the morning in a fresh mood. Whereas night shift employees stay awake the whole night. He sleeps during the day. Their body clock remains disturbed.
The cause of the disease will be identified

Dr. Amarpreet said that height, weight, cholesterol along with BP, sugar will be checked for all the employees. For this his blood will be tested. Apart from this, inflammatory markers which cause various diseases in the body will also be examined. Which includes TNF alpha, C-reactive protein, IL-6 and interleukin one beta. These markers affect the arteries of the heart, brain, lungs and kidneys. Employees may also be feeling stressed due to working at night. This is also being identified. For this, gamma glutamyl transferase will be tested. The effect of anti-oxidants that fight diseases in the body will be examined. Most vitamins fall into this category. Like Vitamin A, C, D and E.
