Jagdalpur , As per the instructions of the government, paddy will be purchased in all the paddy procurement centers of the district from November 1 in the Kharif marketing year 2023-24. Preparations for this are being done in full swing by the district administration. Collector Vijay Dayaram said in the review meeting held on Tuesday about the preparations being made for paddy procurement that priority should be given to purchasing paddy of marginal and small farmers. He gave instructions to maintain proper arrangements in four new procurement centers Ulnar, Kosli, Ghatpadmur and Seoni (Hirlabhata) this Kharif year.
Collector Vijay has ensured availability of new and old gunny bags, registration of millers, verification of Girdawari, arrangement of collection centres, cleanliness in paddy production centre, verification of fork and weight, hygrometer device, cap cover for protection from unseasonal rain and Instructions were given to immediately ensure all the necessary arrangements including drainage system, human resources. He instructed the farmers to paste banners containing the name and number of the concerned nodal officers, purchase rate of paddy and necessary information in all the procurement centers so that they do not face any kind of problem during the sale of paddy. Officials of Food Department, Agriculture Department, NAN, Markfed and Cooperative Bank were present on this occasion.
