Rasool Bakhsh Raees says, “Pakistan has historical and emotional ties with Palestinians but its strategic and economic interests are linked to America, European Union and other countries. Pakistan not only exports to these countries but also provides economic assistance to them. In such a situation, Pakistan would not want to upset any of them in the midst of an economic crisis.”
There is a compulsion to please Saudi Arabia
Not only this, Pakistan is also following the path of Saudi Arabia in this matter. Experts say that Saudi Arabia is an old friend of Pakistan and has rescued Pakistan from economic crisis many times. A few months ago, he had also talked about investing trillions of dollars in Pakistan. Despite being a Muslim country, Saudi Arabia is not aggressive against Israel in this matter.
