New Delhi: In a move that may hit travel plans for New Year’s, HDFC credit card users may not be able to use airport lounges effective December 31, 2023 unless they adhere to the minimum quarterly spending threshold. Going forward, Regalia and Millennia cardholders will have to spend a minimum of Rs 1 lakh each quarter to become eligible for lounge benefits.

Regalia First Card
HDFC Bank has informed cardholders on its website that complementary lounge access is no longer available to Regalia First cardholders.
Only if cardholders adhere to the minimum spending threshold will they be eligible to access lounge by downloading a voucher using the following steps:
- Visit Regalia SmartBuy page
- Click on lounge benefits
- Choose lounge access voucher
Cardholders may only download 2 complimentary lounge access vouchers for each quarter

Domestic airport lounge access
- Cardholders can avail upto 8 complimentary airport lounge access passes in a single calendar year
- Regalia First card must be on person and swiped to avail of lounge access
- Visits over and above quota may be allowed based on the operator’s discretion for an extra charge
- Visa and RuPay customers will have to pay a Rs 2 transaction fee for complimentary lounge access
- Mastercard customers will be authenticated after a Rs 25 refundable deduction

International Airport Lounge Access
- Apply for a priority pass after 4 retail transactions on HDFC Bank Regalia First credit card
- Priority pass issuance will be charged on the credit card within 90 days of date of visit in next statement.
- These transactions will not earn reward points.
- Upto 3 priority pass international complimentary lounge access per calendar year.
- Beyond that cardholders will be charged $27 with GST added per visit, as per the prevailing currency exhcange rate on date of transaction.
Millennia credit card
From December 1, 2023 lounge access on Millennia credit cards will be linked to quarterly spending. A minimum Rs 1 lakh worth of spending must be made in each calendar quarter.
To avail of access follow these steps:
- Check for SM with Millennia Milestone Page link
- On the link, select lounge access voucher
- Click generate voucher to receive the same via mail or SMS
- Clikc SMS or mail to see the PDF conyaining voucher QR code
- Produce QR code at lounge terminal
- 1 complimentary lounge access voucher per quarterly milestone met
