Karva Chauth 2023: Today, the festival of Karva Chauth is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Also, the fast of Karva Chauth is observed on the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year the festival of Karva Chauth is being celebrated across the country on 1st November i.e. today. On this day, married women observe fast for the long life of their husbands.

During the fast of Karva Chauth, women adorn themselves with makeup for the whole day. Also, on this day, married women will worship Maa Gauri, Mahadev and Ganesha by wearing sixteen adornments. After fasting throughout the day, she will perform Parana in the evening after having darshan of Chandradev through a sieve.

Know the auspicious time

Karva Chauth is being celebrated today i.e. on 1st November. It will start at 9.30 pm on Wednesday night, while after the sighting of the moon on November 2, it will end at 9.10 pm. The auspicious time of puja will be from 5.54 pm to 7.02 pm on 1st November. The time of moonrise will be at 8:26 pm on November 1.

First of all, on the day of fasting, clean and decorate the place of worship, then after that offer flowers and fruits to Lord Shiva at the place of worship, Karva Chauth Katha should also be read while worshiping. Along with this, light a lamp at the place of worship. Don’t forget to perform aarti of Gods and Goddesses. After this, offer vermillion and kumkum to the gods and goddesses and finally pray to Karva Mata for the long life and prosperity of your husband.
