Five drug peddlers remanded in judicial custody
The Nashik District and Sessions Court on Monday (30th) sent a 14-day judicial custody to a drug smuggling gang in Nashik by setting up a factory to manufacture MD (Mephedrone) in Mohol MIDC of Solapur district. Five members of the Sunny Pagare gang in the Samangaon MD sale case have been sent to Nashik Road Central Jail.
Police had seized 12.5 grams of MD from Ganesh Sanjay Sharma on September 7. Two MD suppliers Govinda Sanjay Sable and Atish alias Guddya Shantaram Chaudhary were arrested during his investigation. The NDPS police are now investigating the factory in this case. Teams formed under the Anti-Narcotics Squad (NDPS) and the Crime Branch jointly busted an MD manufacturing factory at MIDC in Mohol on October 27. The team seized MD worth Rs.3 crore, raw material worth Rs.60 lakh and chemicals worth Rs.10 lakh from the factory.
The team has arrested Manohar Kale in this case. Sunny Pagare, Sumit Pagare, Manoj Gangurde, Rajun Piwal and Bhushan alias Raja Ganpat More were produced in the court on Monday (30th). As information about the factory was available, the police sought judicial custody. Accordingly, the court remanded five persons to judicial custody.
