Landmine Explosion: Landmine explosion near LOC in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, three army soldiers injured
Jammu and Kashmir News Desk!!! Two soldiers were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Wednesday. The soldiers were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control in Tain Mankot area of the district, officials said. “The blast occurred when the army personnel were performing their routine duties. “The injured personnel have been taken to hospital for treatment,” an official said. Quoting preliminary information, officials said that the soldiers were patrolling in Phagwari Gali area in Mendhar sector when the landmine got activated.
Two seriously injured were referred to Rajouri military hospital for treatment.
The injured were taken to a nearby medical facility and two of them were later referred to a military hospital in Rajouri for specialized treatment, officials said. Officials said that as part of the anti-infiltration barrier system, forward areas are filled with landmines which sometimes get washed away due to rains resulting in such accidents.
Injured military personnel identified
Three army personnel injured in a landmine blast at Phagwari Gali in Poonch sector have been identified as Y Sri Ramullu, Vimal Raj and Veer Bharappa.
