ICC has updated the recent rankings. Due to the World Cup, this week also saw a lot of changes in the rankings. India continues to hold the first position in the team rankings, while South Africa’s team has moved above Pakistan to third position. Australia’s team remains at second position.
Babar Azam remains at the first position in the batting rankings, but now Shubman Gill, who is in second place, is just 2 points behind him. Quinton de Kock remains at third position, while David Warner has moved up to fourth position with a gain of one place and Rohit Sharma has moved up to fifth position with a huge gain of three places. Virat Kohli is at seventh position after losing two places and Heinrich Klaasen is at sixth position after losing two places.
Outside the top 10, KL Rahul from India is at 20th and Shreyas Iyer is at 35th. Scotland captain Scott Edwards has gained 11 places to reach joint 16th position. Australia’s Travis Head is at 29th and New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra is at 58th.
In the bowling rankings, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi has reached the first position for the first time with a huge gain of 9 places and due to this, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammad Siraj and Keshav Maharaj have lost one place each. India’s Kuldeep Yadav and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rehman are at seventh and eighth position with a gain of two places each.
Outside the top 10, from India’s side, Jasprit Bumrah is at 11th with a gain of two places, Mohammed Shami is at 17th with a gain of 5 places and Ravindra Jadeja is at 27th with a gain of four places.
Shakib Al Hasan remains at the first position in the all-rounder rankings, while Hardik Pandya from India has fallen out of the top 10. Marco Jansen of South Africa has gained 2 places to ninth place and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand has gained 14 places to 17th place.
