New Zealand got a big blow, Kane Williamson was out of the match against SA also.
In the current World Cup 2023, the New Zealand team seems to be deviating from its path. After winning the first four matches, the Kiwi team has faced defeat in its next two matches and now they have to play another important match against South Africa in Pune on Wednesday, 1 November and if the Kiwi team loses this match then it will be a big loss for them. The path to the semi-finals can be difficult.
Before this big match against Africa, a bad news is coming for New Zealand. Regular captain Kane Williamson has also been ruled out of the match against South Africa. Before this match, Williamson had batted in the nets but he was not ready for this match, due to which the Kiwi team has decided to keep him out of this match also.
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has informed on its social media that he was not ready to participate in the match against the Proteas team. His fitness will be monitored once again before the match against Pakistan on Saturday, November 4. New Zealand Cricket gave an update through their social media in which they said, “Kane Williamson has been ruled out of Wednesday’s match against South Africa. Williamson has batted in the nets over the last two days, but will be available for tomorrow’s match.” He is out of this match as he is not ready. He will be re-evaluated before the team’s next match against Pakistan.”
Let us tell you that if New Zealand has to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023, then they will have to win 2 out of the three upcoming matches and if the Kiwi team loses 2 out of these three matches, then their qualification will hang in the balance. It will be important that they first register a win against the African team.
