Mumbai: Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, has announced that its business Godrej Interio, India’s leading furniture and interior solutions brand, is expanding its portfolio of office wellness products with the launch of a seating solution called ‘Posture Perfect’ . Godrej Interio has announced a major breakthrough in chair design based on the unique “TrackBack” technology, which has been patented in 13 countries.
Posture Perfect is the world’s first chair that provides complete back support in all recline positions. This revolutionary product for offices highlights Godrej Interio’s core design philosophy, which is based on a human-centric approach and adaptive space solutions. The wellness seating solutions category is expected to grow by 50% in FY 2023-24 and the Posture Perfect chair is expected to contribute 10% to the sales of this category. This chair has been designed by Jimmy Oonwala, a reputed designer from this field. The product was unveiled in the presence of Jamshed N Godrej, Chairman and Managing Director, Godrej & Boyce, Anil Verma, Executive Director and Chief Executive, Godrej & Boyce along with Swapnil Nagarkar, Senior Vice President and Business Head, Godrej Interio and Sameer Joshi, Senior Vice President, Sales. And Marketing (B2B), done in the presence of Godrej Interio.
Godrej Interio has been researching the ergonomic risk factors faced by today’s knowledge workers for quite some time now. A recent study conducted by the brand revealed that more than 50% of Indians suffer from work-related musculoskeletal disorders. The study revealed that sitting in an office is a major risk factor, with 67% of users sitting for more than 10-11 hours a day, putting them at risk of back damage. Godrej Interio has a well-experienced team of doctors who provide wellness awareness consultancy services to companies.
