Material for making rava upma

Semolina- a cup, oil-2 tsp, onion-1, tomato-1, capsicum-1, carrot-1, beans- two to three, urad dal- 1 teaspoon, gram dal- 1 teaspoon, rye-1 teaspoon, green chilli-2, curry leaves-4-5, salt, according to taste, coriander leaf

Method of making rava upma:

To make the upma, first place a pan on the gas and add 1 teaspoon oil. Now add 1 cup of semolina and fry it till it becomes light golden. When roasted, take it out in a plate.

Again add a tablespoon of oil to the pan. Now add a teaspoon of chana dal, a teaspoon of urad dal and mustard seeds and fry it. After that add two green chillies and curry leaves. Now finely chop the onion and stir until it turns brown.

When golden turns brown, all the vegetables, beans, carrots, shimla should all mix together. Now fry the vegetables till it is cooked. Now add salt as per taste. When it is cooked, add chopped tomatoes. Now cover and cook them for a few minutes. Now add roasted semolina and mix. Finally add hot water and let it cook. Garnish with finely chopped coriander in the last. Your upma is ready.
