During the shooting of the film ‘Dil Kya Kare’ in 1999, Mahima Chaudhary had a car accident and she suffered a lot of injury on her face. During an interview, the actress told about this accident.
Mahima had told, this is around 1999, when I was shooting for Ajay Devgan and Kajol’s home production film ‘Dil Kya Kare’ with Prakash Jha. While going to the studio, a truck in Bengaluru hit my car tremendously. This collision was so fierce that the pieces of glass of the car were on my face.
He said, I thought I was dying. The accident was so fierce that no help was coming forward. After reaching the hospital, when my mother and Ajay came, both of them started talking. I woke up again and saw my face. At that time I was scared. After this, my face surgery was done and doctors took out 67 glass pieces from my face.
Mahima had told that it took him a long time to recover after surgery. She always lived inside the house because she could not go out in the sun. During this time she did not like to see her face on the mirror. He felt that now I do not know whether anyone will work in films or not.
Mahima further said, I did not tell anyone about it at that time because people did not support so much. If I had told, he would have said that oh… its face has deteriorated. Let’s sign someone else in the film. So that’s why I stayed away from films and kept hiding from people. But then my family handled me and gave me strength.
Mahima Chaudhary was seen in the blockbuster film ‘Dhadak’ next year of the accident. He then acted in many films. Mahima married Bobby Mukherjee in 2006, but then both of them got divorced in 2013. The daughter of both has Ariana who lives with glory.
