Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida)In 55 villages adjacent to Noida International Airport, farmers are going to buy secreted land. According to the information received by Yida, there is a preparation to buy agricultural land from farmers of 55 villages of Bulandshahr for the development of new urban areas. The rate has been fixed for this. Sources said that five months ago, Yida constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Shailendra Bhatia, which on Tuesday submitted his report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the authority, Arun Veer Singh, in which the rates of the land have been finalized to start the purchase of land without delay.

Recommendation will be made before the board

Now the report will be placed before the board and it will be recommended to allow the purchase of land at the fixed rate. The committee has fixed the rates keeping in mind the rates given by the neighboring Gautam Budh Nagar district. Since 55 villages of Bulandshahr have been notified for the employed district, it has been decided to offer a better rate. After the board gets official approval, the authority will start purchasing land from farmers.

At what rate will the land be purchased

According to the information received, if a farmer wants to take residential plots (7%of the total acquired land), he will get Rs 3,800 per square meter (square meter), and if he does not want to take, the rate will be Rs 4,300 per square meter. The authority decided to give this rate when the farmers demanded that farmers of Gautam Budh Nagar district get Rs 4,300 per square meter, as they are giving land for airports and other infrastructure projects. These rates (₹ 3,800 and ₹ 4,300 per sqm) will be given to people from 55 villages coming to Bulandshahr district. On 23 June 2023, Yida notified these villages for planned development.
