Rimac Nevera: A car that consistently makes news for shattering records is the Rimac Nevera. With this electric supercar, reaching a top speed of about 275.74 km/h might not seem like an enormousness. What makes Nevera unique, though, is that it drove in reverse to reach this speed.
Rimac Nevera sets Guinness World Record for reverse speed
The record for the fastest acceleration of a car in reverse, held for 20 years, was recently surpassed by the Rimac Navara. After clocking a reverse drive sprint speed of 275.74 kmph, Nevera was officially recognized as the winner by Guinness World Records. which beat the previous record set by the Caterham 7 Fireblade, which was 165.08 mph.
One is unlikely to be able to drive at lightning speed in reverse, not even for the most privileged Rimac Nevera clients. In reality, though, a unique supercar unit broke the previous record by reaching a speed of 275 kmph. This highlights the insane levels of performance this supercar is capable of once more.
All about this beast
With four motors producing a combined 1,914 horsepower and 2,369 Nm of torque, the Rimac Nevera costs €2 million (about Rs 17.84 crore). The 120kWh battery pack that comes with the Nevera allows it to have a 490km WLTP rated range.
