Truecaller has rolled out a new Secure Calls feature to curb fraud calls. This feature will work to protect users from fake calls. The Swedish Caller ID app making company has added this feature to the new update. This feature is especially to give verification badge to enterprise users, so that users can easily know whether the upcoming marketing call is correct or not.
Secure Call feature launch
The company launched its feature, saying that this feature is for Truecaller’s business platforms, which have been brought in view of the incidents of increasing cyber frauds. The company has launched this feature in particular to prevent call spoofing. Real State Service Provider company Nobroker has first subscribed to this new Secure Calls feature of True Caller. True Caller hopes that more business firms will enroll themselves through this feature.
Fake marketing calls will be identified
Through this Secure Call feature of Truecaller, the work will be done to whiten the enterprise at the backnd level, so that if the users get a fake call, they will know about it. True Caller will work to label the Genuine business platform through this feature. This feature will work to stop fake calls coming on daily basis on users’ mobiles.
However, the telecom regulator and the Department of Telecommunications are already quite strict about the quality of service of telecom users. Last year, TRAI has made major changes in the rules for telecom companies to improve its quality of service. Especially to prevent fake calls, telecom companies have been asked to implement the new DLT system. This system will work to block fake calls at the network level itself. Only the wheatist telemarketers will be able to call the number of users. Also, for those who buy SIM cards in the block, the rules have been tightened.
Telecom company Airtel has also launched AI based call detection and filter feature for its users. Through this feature, fake calls and messages coming on the number of users are filtered. Not only this, fake links coming on the number of users are blocked, so that if the users accidentally click on these links, then they cannot open. Also, DOT has also announced a new number series for banking and insurance sector.
