There have been 5 major accidents in 6 months this year
265 people died in a painful plane accident in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Plain, leaving for London from Ahmedabad, crashed into a residential building after a few seconds of the take off. This also caused damage to the people living in the building. Among the people who lost their lives in this accident, 241 were riding on the plane. At the same time, other people were present in the building in which the plane collided. However, this was not the first major accident of this year. Earlier, there have been five major accidents in the country within six months this year, in which people died on a large scale and everyone’s heart was shaken.
Ahmedabad plane crash
On June 12, the plane from Ahmedabad in Gujarat to London crashed immediately after take off. There were 242 people in this plane. Of these, only one passenger is saved. All other passengers and crew members aboard the plane died. People who lost their lives in this accident included former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and actor Sanjay Kapoor. The aircraft hit a residential building. In such a situation, the people present in the building also died. A total of 265 deaths occurred in this accident.
Mahakumbh stampede
During the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, there was a stampede due to a huge crowd in Sangam Noz area at around 1:30 pm on the night of Mauni Amavasya (28-29 January 2025). The accident occurred mainly due to barricade breakdown and chaos. Some people were insisting on going to the confluence for bathing, which worsened the situation. According to government data, 37 people died and more than 60 people were injured.
Pahalgam terrorist attack
A terrorist attack took place in April 2025 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Tourists who came to celebrate holidays in the Basaron Valley, known as Mini Switzerland, were attacked. 26 people died in this incident, including people from states like Karnataka, Odisha, Kanpur etc. People like Karnataka’s real estate agent, Odisha’s accountant, and traders from Kanpur were killed in this attack.
Delhi stampede
On 15 February 2025 at New Delhi railway station, there was a stampede at around 9:26 pm. At this time people were waiting for the trains going to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh. The accident occurred at platforms 14 and 15, where there was chaos due to excessive crowd and mismanagement. 18 people died in this accident. These included 14 women, 3 children. More than 25 people were also injured in this stampede. The accident occurred due to the announcement of special train for Prayagraj and the rumor of changing the platform. Passengers fell on each other on the foot overbridge. During this time, RPF personnel were also not deployed in adequate numbers to control the situation.
Bengaluru stampede
The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru caused a stampede during the victory celebration after RCB became the champion in 2025. 11 people died in this accident. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has a capacity of 35000 spectators, but millions of people reached here. When these people did not get permission to enter, the crowd broke the gate. This caused a stampede.
