Kedarnath Helicopter Crash: The 7 people who died in the helicopter accident in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Sunday include a family of Yavatmal of Maharashtra, including a couple and their two -year -old daughter, while their son survived, as he stayed in Maharashtra with his grandfather. On Sunday, seven people died in the accident in the forests of Gaurikund in Rudraprayag, who were returning from Kedarnath Dham by helicopter. The bodies of all the seven people were badly burnt.

Wife and daughter dies with businessman

The family of Yavatmal who died in this accident included Raj Kumar Jaiswal (a transport businessman), his wife Shraddha and his two -year -old daughter Kashi. The news agency PTI gave this information quoting former MLA from Wani, Maharashtra, Vishwas Nandekar as saying. Jaiswal along with his family left for Yavatmal’s Wani to visit the Kedarnath temple on 12 June.

The couple’s son Vivaan survived the accident, as he stayed with his grandfather in Pandarakwada, Maharashtra and did not travel with the family. Helicopter pilot Rajveer Singh Chauhan and Badrinath-Uttarakhand Temple Trust member Vikram Singh Rawat were also killed. Apart from these, Vinod Devi (66) of Uttar Pradesh and Trishti Singh (19) also died.

What was the reason for the helicopter accident?

According to Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar, zero visibility was probably the cause of accident due to bad weather. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the accident will be investigated by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).

Helicopter services suspended for two days on Chardham Yatra route

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the helicopter services on the Chardham Yatra route were suspended for two days on Sunday after the crasher of a helicopter returning from Kedarnath.

An official statement said, “The helicopter was 5 passengers, an infant and a crew member. The helicopter flew from Guptkashi at 05:10 am and Shri Kedarnath ji landed at the helipad at 05:18 am. The helicopter flew again for Guptkashi at 05:19 and crashed near Gaurikund.”

Accident after Ahmedabad plane crash

The helicopter crash occurred a few days after the flight of Air India flight to London in Ahmedabad was a few days after crashed. Out of 242 people aboard the aircraft in the Ahmedabad plane crash, 241 people died, besides the medical hostel on which the plane fell, many people were hit by the accident. 274 people were killed in this plane crash.

Helicopter accident on 8 May and 7 June

Earlier, on 8 May, a helicopter going to Gangotri Dham crashed in Uttarkashi district, killing six people. At the same time, a helicopter going to Kedarnath on June 7 had to make an emergency landing on the road immediately after flying due to technical fault, injuring the pilot, but five devotees were saved safely.
