Impact of heat in Uttar Pradesh: Now schools will be closed till June 30: UP-School-Holidays-Extnded-June-30-Heatwave-2025
In view of the rising heat and dangerous situation of heat in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has taken an important decision keeping the safety of students paramount. Now all schools from class 1 to 8 will be closed till 30 June 2025. Earlier this school was to open from 16 June.
Fast heat causes anxiety, 45 degree cross temperature
In many districts of the state, the temperature has reached above 45 degrees Celsius in the past. Since morning, the sun is getting so hot that it has become difficult to get out. Sending children to school in such a season is not only inconvenient but also very dangerous in terms of health. Fear of dehydration, dizziness and heatstroke has become a big threat to the health of children.
Students holiday, but teachers will remain in school
Although holidays have been increased for students, teachers will have to come to school regularly from June 16. The teaching work will remain postponed at the moment, but work will continue on administrative preparations in schools and the plan of upcoming academic session. This means that the pace of rear works will remain.
Decision was taken on the appeal of teacher organizations
The Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association and the Special BTC Teacher Welfare Association met the government and demanded that the summer holidays be extended in view of the current weather situation. The two organizations together submitted a memorandum to the government in which it was emphasized that sending children to school at this time would play with their health.
Union President’s warning: Very risky time for children
Primary Teachers Association President Vinay Tiwari said that “This time is very sensitive. The temperature is continuously increasing and children may have to face problems like heatstroke, dehydration. The government has taken a decision at the right time, which is completely in the interest of children.”
Special letter was sent to Chief Minister Yogi
Teachers’ organizations also sent a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to draw their attention to the seriousness of the weather. The letter emphasized that sending children to school in such weather would be like putting their lives at risk. In response to the letter, the government showed sensitivity and announced to increase the holidays.
Administration can be fully cautious, even more increase
The state government and education departments are now monitoring the weather conditions. If the temperature rises further, or the state of heatwave persists, the holidays can also be considered further. According to the Education Department, there is no greater objective than safety of children.
Parents get big relief
The decision to increase holidays in summer has brought a lot of relief to the parents. They will now be able to keep children safe at home, and health fears have reduced to some extent. This decision can prove to be very beneficial, especially for young children.
Alert start after holidays
Although the school is expected to open after June 30, the government has indicated that the weather will be reviewed again before the school opens. Along with this, instructions can also be given to the school administration that all facilities like cold water, fans, coolers, and first aid should be made available for children in advance.
