Vaishakh Krishna Amavasya date starts: 27 April 2025, from 04 am on Sunday morning,

Amavasya Tithi concludes: 28 April 2025, will be on Monday at 01:00 pm.

Amavasya Tithi will be full day on 27 April.

Importance of Vaishakh Amavasya: Vaishakh Amavasya has special significance in Hinduism. This day is dedicated to ancestors/ancestors. This day is considered to be extremely auspicious for worshiping and offering ancestors. It is believed that on this day, worshiping them, offering and offering pindadan brings them peace and receives their blessings.
On Amavasya Tithi, negative energy is considered effective, so worshiping Lord Vishnu and other deities on this day destroys negative forces. 10 special measures of Vaishakh Amavasya:

1. Pitra Tarpan and Pindadan: On this day, after bathing in the morning, offer it to the ancestors. Mix black sesame, barley and kusha in water and offer it to the ancestors facing the south direction. If possible, also do pinddaan.

2. Cleaning of Home: Clean the house thoroughly on the day of Amavasya and wipe with salt water to remove negative energy.

3. Bathing in the holy river: If possible, take a bath in the Ganges, Yamuna or other holy rivers. If this is not possible, then take a bath by mixing Ganga water in bath water at home.

4. Worship of Lord Vishnu: Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day is considered extremely auspicious. Offer yellow flowers, fruits and sweets to them and recite Vishnu Sahasranama.

5. Worship of Peepal tree: Pitra is considered to be the abode of ancestors in the peepal tree. On this day, offer water to the Peepal tree, light a lamp and revolve around it.

6. Saffron and clove lamp: To please Goddess Lakshmi, put saffron and two cloves in a lamp of ghee and burn it.

8. Donation of black sesame: Donating black sesame is considered auspicious for the prevention of Shani Dosha.

10. Burning lamp: In the evening, light a lamp of ghee in the northeast angle of the house.
