Police eyes on the property of criminals
According to DGP Vinay Kumar, now the police will be eyeing the property of criminals. Without delay, illegal properties of criminals will be confiscated. So that no criminal can dodge the law on the strength of money.
1172 criminals identified in 1249 police stations, action started
According to information collected from 1249 police stations of the state, 1172 professional criminals have been identified so far, whose assets have been illegally acquired. Out of these, necessary proposals have been sent to the subdivision police officers (DSP rank) in 239 cases. So far, proposals for confiscation of property have been filed in the court in 188 cases, and further legal action is going on fast.
Now not ED, police officers will take initiative to seize
According to DGP, earlier such action had to be depended on the ED, but due to their busyness many times the action was delayed. But after the implementation of BNSS, now DSP level officials have been empowered to directly propose a proposal for seizure in court.
100 fast track courts will get fast justice
DGP Vinay Kumar said that 100 fast track courts are being established across the state to punish criminals soon and to give justice to the victims. These courts will not only settle cases against criminals rapidly, but will also give relief to innocent people who wander on the frame of courts for years.
Corrupt policemen will also fall
The police chief also made it clear during this time that Bihar Police is adamant on the policy of zero tolerance against corruption. Complaints of corruption are constantly received from the police stations, but now if a police officer or jawan demands bribe, then he can be complained immediately.
