Pralay in Hindu Purana: Is the world again moving towards a Mahapralaya? This question has deepened these days when Oarfish is constantly getting on the banks of the Pacific Ocean. The Hindu Puranas describe that in every cycle of creation, a Mahapralaya comes, which destroys everything, so that life can be started afresh. According to Manusmriti, Manu was the first person who gave direction to mankind and made the rules of society for the first time with his followers.
The Manu saga mentions the terrible Mahapralaya. This was a holocaust when all life was destroyed. According to the legend, one day Manu was busy in his ascetic life. Then he was warned by a huge fish that a disastrous flood may occur very soon. Before coming to the Holocaust, Lord Vishnu took a fisherman and asked Manu to build a special boat. After this, when the flood came, Lord Vishnu caught the boat from his horn in a fish avatar and brought Manu to a safe place between the sea. When this flood came, the entire earth was destroyed. Subsequently, Manu, along with his followers, started a new era.

Ofish, also known as sea snake or ribbon fish, are rare fish living in deep sea. Their surface is an unusual phenomenon. Scientists associate it with changes in marine streams or seismic activities. However, in folklore and some cultures, especially in Japan, the appearance of these fish is considered to be the precursor to natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunamis. For this reason, they are called ‘Doomsed Fish’. This fish appeared before the 2011 tsunami.
