Balasore: The body of a person has been found from a river in Balasore, Odisha. It is being told that the deceased attacked his wife and two minor children with an ax two days ago. This person escaped after this incident. After the attack, the police were just searching for him that in the meantime his body was recovered from a river. At present, the police have taken the body and sent it for postmortem. The police is calling it a case of suicide. The case is currently being investigated.
Wife and sons were attacked
Giving information, the police said that a person escaped after attacking his wife and two minor sons. On Tuesday, the body of a 44 -year -old absconding man was recovered from a river in Balasore district of Odisha. The deceased has been identified as Prashant Jena, a resident of Dahamunda village in Kamarda police station area of the district. A police officer said that Prashant attacked his wife Darani Jenna (32) and two sons Karthik (5) and Ganesh (2) in an ax on Sunday night. After this, he escaped from the spot.

According to the police, the villagers reached his house after hearing the screams of the injured. After this, the injured were taken to Kamarda Community Health Center. He said that the injured were later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment. Prashant’s father -in -law lodged an FIR at Kamarda police station. After this, the police started investigating the incident. He said that Prashant’s body was found in the Suvarnarekha river near his village. The ax used in the incident was also found lying near him. “Preliminary investigation suggests that Prashant may have died of suicide. However, the post -mortem report is to be analyzed to conclude,” police said. (Input-PTI)
