What did Lord Parashurama give to Rama and Krishna?
Parashurama was born in 5142 VDs in the conversation of Satyuga and Treta. The first Prahar of Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya was done during the day-night Pradosh Kaal. Parashurama is considered Chiranjeevi. He is one of the eight Chiranjivis. He was also in the Ramayana period and was also in the Mahabharata period. 1. Parashurama gave Kodand bow to Shri Ram: When Lord Shri Ram broke Shivji’s bow, Parashuram ji was angry and threatened there. But he saw Vishnu ji in Shri Ram and at that time Vishwamitra also told him that the time for your avatar is over and now Vishnu himself is in the form of Lord Shri Ram. Then Parashuram ji gave Ramji a bow named Kodand.
2. Parashurama gave Brahmastra education to Karna: In that period, Dronacharya, Parashurama and Ved Vyasa remembered to run Brahmastra and fail it when someone used Brahmastra. When Dronacharya refused to teach Brahmastra Vidya to Karna, he reached Parashurama. Parashurama had vowed that he would teach this discipline to a Brahmin, because the risk of misuse of this learning had increased. When Karna wanted to learn this, he reached Parashurama and described himself as the son of a Brahmin and learned this knowledge from him. Later, Parashuram ji came to know about this deceit, then he cursed Karna that when you need this knowledge the most then you will forget it.

3. Parashurama gave Sudarshan Chakra to Shri Krishna: During the period of Mahabharata, Parashurama lived in the ashram in South India in the ashram somewhere in front of Gomantak mountain. Due to the invasion of Jarasandha, Sri Krishna once moved to the south. There were 4 states of Yadavas in the south during that period. Adipurush, Padmavat, Kraunchapur and the fourth kingdom Yadu son Harit settled on the western Sea coast. Lord Parashurama resided on the banks of the Vanya River in the Padmavat state. When Shri Krishna met him in his ashram there, Parashurama presented him to Sudarshan Chakra and said that this is your weapon.
4. Donated earth to people and gave onam to Kerala: Parashuram ji made Kerala: According to the belief, Parashurama ji had won the earth with Haihayavanshi Kshatriyas. When there was no place to live with them, they sat in the cave of Sahyadri mountain and started doing penance to Varun Dev. The Varuna Devta appeared to Parashurama ji and said that you should throw your furs into the sea. As far as your ax will fall into the sea, till the sea water will dry up and become the earth. All that earth will be yours. Parashuram ji did this, but the water of the sea dried up and the land he found in the sea, the present is called Kerala. Parashuramji built the temple of Lord Vishnu on this land. It is said that the temple is still famous as ‘Tirukkkar Appan’. The day Parashuram ji installed the idol in the temple, the festival of ‘Onam’ is celebrated on that day.
5. Parashurama gave the Kavadia tradition to the society: It is difficult to say something properly when and where Bholenath’s Jalabhishek started by bringing Kavad. But it can definitely be said that Lord Parashurama was the first Kavadis who performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with Ganga water. Parashurama established the Shivling in Kajri forest, obeying his father. At the same time, he brought the Ganges water and performed it. The ancient temple still exists at this place. The Kajri forest area is located around Meerut. The place where Parashurama installed Shivalinga and performed Jalabhishek. That place is called ‘Pura Mahadev’.
