BSNL has completed preparations for its 5G service. The government telecom company has announced its 5G service names. BSNL had recently asked users to suggest their 5G service name on their social media handle. Now the company has announced this name. The 5G service of the government telecom company will be called Q-5G i.e. Quantum 5G. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced this with its X handle.

BSNL India told in its post, you gave the name and we kept it. The 5G service of BSNL will be called Q-5G i.e. Quantum 5G. The government telecom company has thanked its crores of users for this. After the launch of BSNL’s 5G service, the tension of private telecom companies is going to increase. Government telecom company plans are cheaper than private companies.

1 lakh new mobile towers will be installed

Union Minister of State for Communications Chandrashekhar Pammasani recently said that BSNL will set up 1 lakh and new 4G mobile towers in the second phase to improve its connectivity. Currently, the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) is waiting for approval from the Union Cabinet to roll out the next phase of BSNL’s 4G service.

Chandrasheyer Pammasani said that the work of successfully installed 1 lakh mobile tower has been completed. We are waiting for the approval to install an additional 1 lakh new 4G/5G mobile towers from the Union Cabinet headed by PM Modi. After the installation of 1 lakh and new mobile towers, the number of 4G mobile towers of the telecom company will increase, due to which crores of users will get better connectivity.

Trust on indigenous technology

In May 2023, BSNL gave Ericsson a contract to install telecom equipment. Apart from this, Tata Consultancy Services and Tejas Network were given the task of installing mobile towers. The government telecom company has invested Rs 13 thousand crore for maintenance of its new 4G mobile tower for the next 10 years. 1 lakh 4G/5G towers of the government telecom company have been installed, out of which more than 70 thousand towers have gone live.
