Gas leakage not stopping in Assam, all attempts failed, now ONGC will stop the well
Assam In Sivasagar district, the leakage of the gas from a crude oil well is not taking the name of stopping. Even after all the efforts, the leakage of gas from this well has not stopped. After which it has now been decided to close this crude oil well. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma said on Friday that Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will permanently shut crude oil wells in Sivasagar district. This well has been leakage of gas continuously for the last nine days.
Plan C will be implemented after Plan A and B failure
The Chief Minister said that ONGC has already taken two emergency measures to stop the leakage of gas, but it was of no use. “ONGC and Oil India Limited (oil) usually take four emergency measures to prevent such leakage,” he said. ONGC has already implemented Plan A and B, but they did not get any success from both these plans. ”CM said that the main company of the power sector will now implement the plan C, under which the entire well will be closed permanently.
When will the work of closing the well start
American experts will reach here by this evening to close crude oil well in Sivasagar district. The Chief Minister said, “The work of closing the well will start from tomorrow and this work will be done in consultation with the American expert. It is expected that the work will be completed in the next four or five days. ”Himant Vishwa Sharma said that after searching for several ways with much effort and accuracy, ONGC is now moving forward with a more practical and safe strategy to prevent leakage.
The explosion took place on 12 June
He said, “The ground level preparations have already been completed about 50 percent in advance. Our priority is to prevent leakage and ensure safety of people living nearby. ”The explosion took place on June 12 in Kuan number RDS 147A of Rigrsagar oil area of ONGC, Rudrasagar oil area of ONGC on 12 June. A private firm SK Petro Services well was operating the well from the public sector’s ‘Maharatna’ company.
