There are both old-rich passwords involved
According to the report, this data leak is not limited to social media only. This includes necessary information like corporate data, government websites, VPN logins and business emails. Let us know that researchers have examined about 30 such data base in which more than 350 crore records have been found. This information of data leaks is from the beginning of 2025 till now. The data that has been leaked includes both new and old passwords.
Google gave this advice to users
After the surprising information of the password leak, Google has also issued a big warning for its millions of users. Google has advised users to change the password immediately. Along with this, the company has also asked customers to activate two-factor authentication. If you want extra protection, then for this, Google has advised to adopt the passkey feature. Passkey feature helps prevent fishing attack.
If you are using Apple, Facebook, Google or Telegram, then you should change your password immediately. Keep in mind that you have to create a new strong password which includes special characters. Google has advised users to avoid any unknown link. The company has also advised not to share the personal details sought in emails.
