Rishabh Pant created history in England, MS Dhoni also left behind, records records from historic innings
Rishabh Pant Reords: In the first Test match being played between India and England at the headingley ground in Leeds, Rishabh Pant scored a wonderful innings of 134 runs in 178 balls on Friday and Saturday. In this innings, he scored 12 fours and 6 sixes. Pant also made several historical records with Shubman Gill to make a 209-run partnership in a strong position.
MS Dhoni’s record broken
Rishabh Pant has now become the wicketkeeper batsman to score the most centuries for India in Test cricket. Pant’s name has now scored 7 Test centuries while MS Dhoni had 6 centuries. Dhoni made this record in 90 Tests while Pant achieved this feat in only 44 Tests.

Rishabh Pant has now become the first wicketkeeper-batsman in the world to score three Test centuries on England soil. He scored 114 runs at The Oval in 2018, 146 runs in Birmingham in 2022 and now in Leeds in 2025. He is the world’s first and only wicketkeeper to do so.

Rishabh Pant has now become the highest sixes batsman for India in the World Test Championship (WTC). Pant has hit 58 sixes in 35 matches, while Rohit Sharma was second with 56 sixes.
