The news of the death of this player in the middle of India-England Tests, the players of both teams tied black bandage
The David Valentine Lawrence, former England and Gluster Sharey’s former fast bowler, died on Sunday (June 22) after battling the motor neuron disease (MND). He was the first black cricketer -born black cricketer to play international cricket for England.
Lawrence made his international debut in 1988 and played five Tests and one ODI matches between 1988 and 1992. He took 18 cics in Test cricket, including 5 wickets in the innings in the Test match played at The Oval against West Indies in 1991. In that match, he also made the great batsman Vivian Richards his victim.
Unfortunately, his international career suddenly ended due to a serious knee injury during a Test match played against New Zealand in Wellington in 1992. In 2023, they were detected by motor neuron disease.
Born on 28 January 1964, Lawrence made his first class cricket debut in 1981 at the age of just 17. He played 170 first clusters for Glossarshire, with 477 wickets at an average of 31.27, with 7 wickets for 47 runs against Warvikshire. In a 16 -year career, he became a club icon for his fearless fast bowling.

At the same time, he took 148 wickets in 110 matches in 50 overs cricket. In which he took 6 wickets for 20 runs against United University XI in 1991.
Let us know that during the first Test match being played between India and England in the headingley of Leeds, all the players came out playing a black band on their hands to pay tribute to Lawrence. Players of both teams also kept silence before the game took place.
