Pahalgam attack- 2 people who sheltered terrorists arrested

Two months after the Pahalgam terror attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two people from Pahalgam. The NIA investigation has revealed that both of them had sheltered three terrorists who carried out the attack.

The arrested accused are Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Bashir Ahmed Jothar. During interrogation, both of them stated the identity of the terrorists and also confirmed that they were Pakistani citizens and were associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET).

According to the NIA, Parvez and Bashir had deliberately held these three terrorists in a temporary Dhok (hut) in Hill Park before the attack. He provided them with food and other facilities.

26 tourists died in Pahalgam attack

In this attack on 22 April, 26 people were killed and 16 people were seriously injured. Terrorists were selectively targeted by the tourists on the basis of their religious identity. The incident took place in the Bisaran Valley, 6 km from the city of Pahalgam.

The names of three terrorists were revealed in the investigation after the attack. On 24 April, Anantnag police released 3 sketches. It had three terrorists names, Adil Hussain of Anantnag, Hashim Musa alias Suleman and Ali alias Talha Bhai. Moses and Ali are Pakistani. Moses has been a commando in Pakistan’s Special Service Group. A reward of 20 lakh rupees has also been placed on these.

At present, it is not clear whether the two accused have been arrested by the NIA, they have revealed the names of these three terrorists or any other terrorists.
