Public will have to do social media account if America is needed
The US has taken another major step to further strengthen its visa screening process. Under this step, now if you are applying for F, M or J non-resident visa, then your social media account is definitely public. All people who are applying for the visas mentioned above will have to go to the settings to public their account to conduct necessary investigations to establish their identity and acceptance in the United States under the US Act. For this, the US embassy in India has informed this by putting a post on the X platform and also said that this rule will be applicable with immediate effect.
What did the US embassy say in the post?
The US embassy in India on the X platform wrote, ‘With immediate effect, all persons applying for F, M or J non-migrant visas are requested to make public the privacy setting of all their social media accounts to make public the privacy settings of all their social media accounts so that necessary investigations can be done to establish their identity and acceptance in the United States under the US law.

Another photo reads, ‘Since 2019, the United States has made it necessary to inform visa applicants about social media on immigrant and non-resident visa applications.
