Rishabh Pant was angry with himself after the over was over. In the camera, he was heard saying to himself, “Rishabh is a fast ball, if you want to kill, it will look straight on this ball, there is no need to do anything different, man.” When the English commentator present in the commentary box, when Pant Pant Pant was saying to himself, Dinesh Karthik also told the same that Pant was calming himself and explaining that ‘play with the bat directly, there is no need to do much.’

Captain Shubman Gill returned to Pavalian after being dismissed on a personal score of 8 runs. After this, KL Rahul, along with Rishabh Pant, took over the innings and scored 153 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in the second innings till lunch. With this, India’s total lead was 159 runs.
