People of Dawoodi Bohra community are reaching Indore for Ashara Mubaraka Majlis
Indore. Thousands of members of the Dawoodi Bohra community from all over the world are reaching Indore, so that they can participate in Ashara Mubaraka Majlis. This year, the 53rd religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community, Paramapavan Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb has selected Chennai as the main venue, while Indore has been fixed as satellite centers, where the programs will be broadcast live.
Ashara Mubaraka, the first month of the Islamic calendar, is the holy time of Moharram from 2 to 10th month when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), his Navasi Nawase Imam Hussain and his family’s teachings are remembered. The bold steps he took for justice, truth and humanity is still inspiring. This opportunity is a spiritual and learning journey for the Dawoodi Bohra community.
The community led by the 53rd religious leader, Paramapavan Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb guides to strengthen their confidence through these Majlis and to keep following the path of religion amidst the challenges of today’s life. These words and discourses inspire them to seek knowledge in the light of the Quran and to adopt the qualities of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and his family.

The event will be held from 27 June to 5 July 2025 at 28 places in the city, including Saifi Mosque Complex, Sanghi Ground, Bijalpur, Azzi Nagar, Mhow, Ammar Nagar, Noorani Nagar and Betma.
The program convenor Khojema Paytiwala in Indore said, “It is a privilege for us that Syedna Sahib chose Indore as satellite center among other cities of Madhya Pradesh.
These discourses will also be broadcast locally in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other Dawoodi Bohra centers in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, they will also be broadcast at an international center in Colombo.
The members of the community are organized in different committees and are preparing to run the event smoothly. Volunteers will help the administration in traffic and mob management, while other teams will work to separate thousands of food waste and handle sanitation every day. Also, community doctors and health workers will also provide primary health services to all guests.
Paytiwala further said, “We are all trying together to consider the values such as selfless service, solidarity and dedication to a big purpose, can put them into our conduct.”
