Hombale Films and Cleim Productions have announced a huge animated franchise ‘Mahavatar Cinematic Universe’ (MCU), which will be a decade long film series based on Indian mythology. In this universe, stories of Lord Vishnu’s Dashavatars will be introduced, which will begin with ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’, which will be released in theaters on 25 July 2025. ‘Mahavatar Universe’ will not be limited to films only. Its stories will also be revealed in the form of comic books, video games, digital episodes and collectables. Its purpose is to connect today’s generation with Indian culture through thrill, spirituality and unique confluence of technology. ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ will be released in 5 Indian languages and in 3D format. In this, the audience will see a grand glimpse of Indian culture, faith and valor, not just a film.
The film is being produced by Shilpa Dhawan, Kushal Desai and Chaitanya Desai, and will be presented in partnership with Cleem Productions and Hombale Films. According to Hombale Films, ‘Mahavatar Universe is not a common animated series, it is a grand attempt to give a new identity to our spiritual values and cultural heritage.
