Haldwani: A painful incident has come to light from Haldwani in Uttarakhand. There has been a major accident in Haldwani amidst torrential rains on Wednesday morning. A car fell uncontrolled in the irrigation canal flowing behind the fire brigade office located in Haldwani Kotwali area. After which she started flowing. A total of seven people were riding in the car. Four people, including an innocent child, died on the spot, while three were seriously injured in the accident.

By the time the rescue team broke the glass of the car, the breath of four people in the car had stopped. The dead also include a child. The remaining three injured have been admitted to Sushila Tiwari Hospital, where their condition is said to be critical.
SP City’s statement revealed
SP City Prakash Chandra said that there were a total of seven people in the car. The car was swept away due to falling in the canal and strong current. Four people, including a child, have died, three injured are undergoing treatment. The identification of the dead and the cause of the accident is being investigated. Also, other parts of Haldwani which have seen strong current in Devkhadi, Raxia and Kalasia drains and canals.
The water of drains is reaching the roads, which has advised people to be vigilant. Municipal Commissioner Richa Singh himself is active in the field since morning. He said that the situation is currently under control. The drains were cleaned by the corporation in time, which did not lead to waterlogging.

Teams of Fire Service, Municipal Corporation, Police and Disaster Management Department are monitoring the entire city.
