The data of the black box of Air India aircraft crashed on June 12 in Ahmedabad has been recovered. The government statement said on Thursday that the data has been downloaded. Access of memory module has also been received.

Now the investigating agency will analyze the recovered data from the black box. This will reveal the cause of the accident. Earlier on June 24, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu had told that the black box was not being sent abroad for investigation. It is being investigated by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).

According to the central government, two black boxes (CVR and DFDR) sets have been found from the crash plane. These will get a record of pilots’ conversations and technical information of the aircraft at the time of the accident. The first set was recovered on 13 June and the second on 16 June.

The Air India flight to London in Ahmedabad on June 12 crashed immediately after taking off AI-171. 241 people were killed in it, while one passenger was saved. At the same time, a total of 270 people were killed in this incident.

Now know what is a black box, why is it important?

The black box is a small tool in the plane. It records technical and voice information about the aircraft during the flight. The black box consists of two main recorders. The Cockpit Voice Records (CVR) records the interaction of the pilots. At the same time, the flight data recover (FDR) records technical information of the aircraft such as speed, ultimate, engine performance.

Many things are said about the name ‘Black Box’. According to reports, its inner part was black, so it got the name. The second opinion is that after the accident, its color becomes black by burning the fire, so people started calling it a “black box”.
