Student gang -raped in Law College in Kolkata: 3 arrested in guard room, 3 arrested
In Kolkata, 3 accused in the gang rape case from Law College student were sent by the court to police custody by 10 July on Friday. The police arrested 2 accused on 26 June. Another accused was arrested on Friday morning. The incident took place on 25 June.
According to the police, the incident took place in the guard room of the ground floor of the college. The accused include Monojo Mishra (31), Jab Ahmed (19) and Pramit Mukherjee (20). Monojat is the main accused and is an alumnus of the college. The remaining two are students of 2 college.
The BJP claimed to be associated with the student organization of the Trinamool Congress. TMC accepted it, but said that Monojit is not an active member. The victim has written in the FIR that Monojjat had offered the wedding, but I refused. When the accused locked me in the guard room, I asked to go out by holding their legs.
First understand what is the matter
According to police FIR, the incident is of South Kolkata Law College. The gang rape was carried out between 7:30 pm and 10 pm in a guard room in the campus. According to the complaint of the victim, the accused first asked me to stay in college. After this, he took him to a room on the ground floor, where the accused raped her till around 10 pm.
The victim has alleged in his complaint, ‘Recording was also done during the gang rape. Later, I threatened me that if I talked to someone about this incident, they would make the video viral on the internet.
Mobile of all accused seized
According to the police, two accused Monched Mishra and Jab Ahmed were arrested on 26 June between 7:20 pm and 7:35 pm near Siddharth Shankar Rai Shishu Garden. The mobile phones of both have been recovered by the police.
The third accused Pramit Mukherjee was arrested from his house at 12:30 pm on June 27 and his mobile phone has also been seized.
Dr. Nayana Chatterjee, Deputy Principal of the college, said that the main accused is an alumnus and lawyer of Monojit College. It was given a temporary appointment by the governing body of the institute.
