On 29 June, an orange alert has been issued for most areas of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is estimated here. At the same time, Yellow alert has been issued for the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Northeast. There is a possibility of heavy rains here. Nagpur in Maharashtra and Darjeeling areas in West Bengal are expected to be normal.
Red alert in Uttarakhand on 30 June and 1 July
A red alert has been issued for 30 June and July 1 in Uttarakhand. There may be extremely heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and some areas of UP. The Meteorological Department has asked people to be ready. After this, heavy rains may occur in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha on 2 and 3 July. However, the weather may be normal in most parts after this. Due to the arrival of monsoon, normal rainfall will continue to occur in the entire country, but on July 4-5, there is no possibility of unusual rains.
17 people died in Himachal
After the arrival of monsoon on 20 June in Himachal Pradesh, a total of 17 people have died in rain -related incidents while four others are missing. The State Emergency Operations Center said that 17 people died in rain-related incidents, out of which seven died in sudden floods, four due to drowning, two people died due to current and falling from height. One person died of snake bite and one person died due to other reason. On Saturday, many parts of the hill state received light to moderate rainfall. 38 roads in the state are closed due to rain -related incidents. There are 23 roads closed in Kullu, nine in Mandi, four in Una and one each in Lahaul and Spiti and Sirmaur districts. The local meteorological office has issued a ‘Orange Alert’ of heavy rainfall for 4-6 districts out of 12 districts of the state on Sunday and Monday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected on Sunday at different places in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Solan and Sirmaur districts of the state, while Bilaspur, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur are expected to rain on Monday. The meteorological office has also predicted a sudden flood threat in Solan, Kangra, Mandi and parts of Sirmaur.
Orange alert issued in Delhi
IMD has issued a ‘Orange’ alert for Delhi, expressing light to moderate rainfall. IMD said in its latest forecast that in the next few hours, thunderstorms are expected to cause light to moderate rain and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is expected to be around 37 ° C.
