Aadhaar compulsory for new PAN card
The Aadhaar card will be mandatory to apply for a new PAN card from July 1, 2025. Earlier, any valid identity card and birth certificate were required to apply for PAN card. According to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Aadhaar verification will be necessary from July 1, 2025.
Tatkal ticket booking rules
From 1 July 2025, Aadhaar verification will be mandatory for immediate train tickets through the IRCTC website or its mobile app. From July 15, one-time password (OTP) will be required for immediate train ticket booking, which means that customers will get a code on their device while booking tickets. Tatkal tickets booked at computerized passenger reservation system (PRS) counter will also require OTP certification.
Rules for filing GST returns
The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) announced on June 7, 2025 that the monthly GST payment form GSTR-3B will not be edited from July 2025. Additionally, taxpayers will not be allowed to file their GST returns after the end of three years from the payable date.
HDFC Bank Credit Card Fee
HDFC Bank has announced a new credit card fee and update in its reward program, which will be effective from July 1. These changes include monthly expenditure of more than ₹ 10,000, utility bill payment of more than ₹ 50,000, online gaming transactions of more than ₹ 10,000, rent payment, fuel payment of ₹ 15,000 and 1% fee on education-related payment through third-party app.
