The birthday programs will end on 5 July next year. Many CTA ministers have said that the Dalai Lama can announce his successor when he is 90 years old. More than 300 dignitaries from all over the world are expected to reach Dharamshala to attend the Dalai Lama’s birthday celebrations on 6 July.

Speaker of Tibetan Sarkar-in-Axil, Khenpo Sonam Tenfel said that a three-day religious conference is starting from 2 July in McLeodganj. The successor is also likely to be discussed in this. The speaker also said that the successor of the Dalai Lama should be from an independent world outside China, as our holy leader has said. In any case, Tibetan will accept only the successor mentioned by the Dalai Lama.
